TRAIN TODAY AND THIS WEEKEND


Most of us, me included, find it hard to maintain the self-discipline to effectively train every day. I know it’s hard, but it doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming. Find something today that you haven’t done for a while.

For me, today I practiced pistol fighting from the ground. This morning I did my usual dryfire pistol drills lying on my back, with my safety aiming dot on my left side. Your daily task today doesn’t even have to be firearms related. Get out your training medical kit and put a TQ and a pressure bandage on yourself in the dark. See, in five minutes you’ve refreshed a fundamental skill, now go have a beer.

This weekend, I will confirm my daily training by shooting live from the same positions I dry fired from this week. Something to think about. After all, I’m sure your future opponent isn’t training right now…..
